The Muscular SystemThe muscular system contributes to sports performance by providing movement to the body to perform every movement the body makes and to provide the material for the body to complete those movements including oxygen and fuels. Muscles act in pairs to create movement, which is when reciprocal inhibition takes place. Force is summated through muscles with movement starting at the larger muscles groups and summating through the body towards the smaller muscle groups where the force is expelled and the movement occurs, the more muscles that are involved in the summation of forces process the force will be created.
